Make a difference in the lives of elementary students as an Onsite Emotional Behavior Disorder (EBD) Center-based Special Education Teacher at a vibrant K-5 specialty school known for its Mathematics, Science, and Children’s Engineering focus. This contract role offers the opportunity to support students through evidence-based practices in a collaborative, innovative environment utilizing Project Lead the Way Launch curriculum.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota Special Education teaching certification (Tier 3 or 4 required).
- Demonstrated experience or training in Emotional Behavior Disorder (EBD) support.
- Ability to work Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Experience designing and implementing IEPs, assessments, and behavioral interventions.
- Passion for engaging diverse learners in inclusive, hands-on educational settings.
- Must provide MN Teaching Certification and updated resume with application for consideration.
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver academic and behavioral instruction to students within the EBD Center-Based classroom in accordance with district and state standards.
- Develop and execute individualized IEPs, collaborating closely with general education teachers, specialists, and families.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to student progress, behavior management, and compliance requirements.
- Promote a safe, supportive learning environment and actively participate in school-wide initiatives.
- Engage in regular professional development and team meetings to remain current with best practices in special education.
