Job: Accounting Assistant
Reports To: Accounting Manager
Summary/Objective
The Accounting Assistant will assist in accounts receivables to ensure timely payments, assist with marking invoices and Purchase orders paid. Research delinquent invoices and facilitate timely payments. Maintain and file internal and external accounting records, assist in general accounting and administrative tasks as necessary. Assist with other accounting projects.
Essential Functions
- Track and process physical and electronic payments received from customers.
- 1099 payroll entries on bi-weekly basis.
- Maintain extensive database with daily updates
- Manipulation of data from multiple sources to ensure accurate uploads and reporting
- Monthly reconciliations of revenue and cost of goods sold
- Calculate accruals on a monthly basis during month-end closing.
- Proven problem solver that takes initiatives.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position: Specific workdays will be assessed based on volume of work but shall not fall below 5 days in a standard work week.
Travel
This position typically requires up to 10% travel but can be more in CAT situations based on department need.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent job experience in a Finance related field.
- Familiar with basic accounting procedures and ability to conduct monthly reconciliation reports.

- Proficient in Microsoft excel.
