We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Assistant in INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana. This role is within the accounting industry and involves a focus on accounts payable and leasing accounting functions.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process all customer credit applications in a timely manner
• Maintain and update customer credit records to ensure accuracy
• Effectively resolve customer inquiries related to their accounts
• Monitor customer accounts regularly to identify and address any discrepancies
• Participate in the accounts payable operations ensuring all invoices are paid on time
• Assist in leasing accounting functions, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly
• Contribute to the improvement of accounting procedures and processes
• Work collaboratively with the accounting team to achieve shared goals
• Provide support during financial audits by preparing necessary documents and information
• Ensure compliance with all accounting regulations and standards.• Must possess at least a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Experience in Accounts Payable (AP) is essential
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial data
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Experience with accounting software is preferred
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
• Professionalism and ethical behavior is a must
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
