We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Assistant in JACKSON, Michigan. The role is in the finance industry where you will be required to perform a variety of accounting tasks, including working with both accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and managing company ledgers.
Responsibilities:
• Efficiently process customer credit applications using ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems
• Keep detailed records of customer credit information
• Respond to customer inquiries related to accounting issues
• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions to encourage timely payments
• Process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions
• Utilize NetSuite for various accounting tasks and report generation
• Handle payroll activities ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time
• Assist in the preparation and delivery of expense reports
• Provide support for HR processes related to the finance department
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data entry and financial reporting.• Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is essential
• Demonstrated experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Proven ability to conduct Bank Reconciliations
• Experience in Payroll management is required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must
• Familiarity with NetSuite software will be advantageous
• A solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
