We are looking for an experienced Human Resources (HR) Generalist to support a busy on-site team in Tacoma, Washington through a Contract assignment. This role combines talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, and day-to-day HR administration, with a strong focus on maintaining a smooth and compliant employee experience. The position will work closely with operational leaders and managers to address staffing priorities, guide personnel matters, and keep essential HR processes moving efficiently.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the full recruitment cycle for hourly and supervisory positions, from opening requisitions through candidate selection and offer coordination.
• Maintain active job postings and collaborate with scheduling and operations teams to align staffing activity with current workforce demands.
• Arrange virtual interviews and ensure candidates, hiring leaders, and internal stakeholders are prepared throughout the selection process.
• Lead new employee orientation activities, assemble onboarding documents, and enter employee information accurately into HR systems.
• Review employment eligibility documentation, coordinate background screening steps, and support internal pre-employment screening processes.
• Partner with supervisors, field leaders, and managers to review performance concerns, assess documentation, and help determine appropriate employment actions.
• Communicate separations and resignations professionally while preserving complete and accurate records for each employee case.
• Respond to questions related to benefits, HR programs, and routine employee administration, including support for garnishments and related paperwork.
• Assist with investigations, reporting, disciplinary documentation, and tracking of licenses or certifications using HR and operational systems.
• Work closely with the VP, Field Managers, and Account Managers to support ongoing HR operations, payroll-related coordination, and compliance-focused documentation.• At least 3 years of experience in human resources with exposure to both recruiting and broad HR generalist responsibilities.
• Demonstrated ability to work on site in Tacoma, Washington and effectively support a fast-paced operational environment.
• Hands-on experience with employee relations, including performance documentation, separations, and support for workplace investigations.
• Working knowledge of onboarding practices, employment verification requirements, and pre-employment screening coordination.
• Familiarity with HR administration such as benefits support, resignation processing, and maintaining accurate employee records.
• Experience using HRIS platforms and related systems for employee data entry, reporting, and documentation management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Office applications for daily communication, scheduling, and administrative tasks.
