We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support all aspects of Human Resources, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, payroll support, benefits administration, compliance, and HRIS management. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Paylocity and Employee Navigator, ensuring accurate payroll processing, benefits administration, and employee record management while delivering exceptional internal customer service.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Human Resources Administration
- Serve as the primary HR contact for employees and managers.
- Maintain employee personnel files and HR records.
- Administer onboarding, orientation, and offboarding processes.
- Prepare employment letters, status changes, and HR documentation.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Post job openings and coordinate recruiting efforts.
- Screen applicants and schedule interviews.
- Conduct background checks and reference checks.
- Prepare offer letters and new hire paperwork.
- Coordinate new employee orientation and onboarding.
Payroll Administration (Paylocity)
- Process bi-weekly payroll accurately using Paylocity.
- Audit employee timecards and attendance records.
- Process pay adjustments, bonuses, commissions, and garnishments.
- Maintain employee payroll records and tax information.
- Generate payroll and labor reports.
- Troubleshoot payroll discrepancies and resolve employee inquiries.
- Maintain Paylocity employee records and workflows.
Benefits Administration (Employee Navigator)
- Administer employee benefit enrollments and life event changes.
- Manage annual Open Enrollment through Employee Navigator.
- Coordinate eligibility, enrollments, and carrier updates.
- Reconcile benefit deductions between Employee Navigator and Paylocity.
- Assist employees with benefit questions.
- Coordinate COBRA, FMLA, ADA, and leave administration.
- Maintain accurate benefits records utilizing the Paylocity–Employee Navigator integration.
Employee Relations
- Respond to employee questions regarding policies and procedures.
- Assist managers with coaching and performance documentation.
- Investigate employee concerns while maintaining confidentiality.
- Support employee engagement and recognition programs.
- Coordinate training and professional development initiatives.
Compliance
- Ensure compliance with:
- FLSA
- FMLA
- ADA
- EEOC
- COBRA
- OSHA
- HIPAA
- ACA
- Assist with audits and government reporting.
- Maintain I-9 documentation and E-Verify compliance.
HR Reporting & Analytics
- Generate HR metrics and workforce reports.
- Monitor turnover, attendance, and recruiting statistics.
- Recommend process improvements to increase HR efficiency.
- Utilize Paylocity reporting tools to support leadership decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of Human Resources Generalist experience.
- 2+ years of Paylocity payroll and HRIS experience required.
- Experience with Employee Navigator benefits administration required.
- Strong knowledge of payroll processing and benefits administration.
- Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
