The Payroll Analyst will be responsible for processing payroll transactions, including wages, benefits, and taxes. The successful candidate will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, conduct regular audits, resolve any payroll discrepancies, and generate reports for senior management.
Responsibilities:
1. Processing payroll on a bi-weekly or monthly basis.
2. Processing changes to payroll, such as salary adjustments, special payments, tax deductions, and employee hiring or terminations.
3. Ensure systems are set-up and updated to reflect current employee base, including wages, benefits, sick, and vacation time in line with contracts.
4. Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies and irregularities.
5. Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
6. Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines.
7. Liaise with other departments and external partners as required.
8. Provide support and training to staff when required.
Job Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
2. Proven experience as a Payroll Analyst or similar role, preferably in a high-growth or fast-paced environment.
3. Detailed knowledge of payroll systems and procedures, labor laws, and tax regulations.
4. Outstanding computing skills, including proficiency with MS Office Suite and payroll software.
5. Strong mathematical skills and an ability to spot numerical errors.
6. Good understanding of the whole accounting process.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
