Robert Half Seattle is seeking a contract Payroll Specialist to assist our SaaS/Tech industry client through a period of transition. As a remote Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for a range of tasks including processing payroll, maintaining accurate records, and resolving payroll-related inquiries. You will also need to utilize a variety of systems and software, including ADP Workforce Now, ServiceNow Platform, and Excel.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process bi-weekly payroll for a large number of employees (1000+)

• Review and correct errors on timecards, and manually input data for missed submissions into ADP

• Respond to and resolve payroll-related inquiries using the ServiceNow ticketing system

• Calculate commissions and bonuses manually using Excel, and apply advanced Excel functions such as VLOOKUPS and PIVOTs

• Process employee terminations on a daily basis, and generate reports for termination checks

• Verify salary changes and new hires in Workday, ensuring the data flows directly into ADP

• Collaborate with the payroll accountant to reconcile accounts

• Proficiency in using ADP Workforce Now is required.

• Proficiency in Excel Formulas is necessary for effective performance in this role.

• The candidate should be experienced in payroll processing for at least 500+ (1000+ preferred)

• The candidate should be experienced in various Accounting Functions.

• The candidate should have a strong understanding of Benefit Functions.

• Familiarity with the ServiceNow Platform is expected.
