HR Analyst/Payroll Specialist
Location: Fairfield, CA (Onsite)
Salary: $75K - $85K
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Flexible schedule available)
Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced HR Analyst/Payroll Specialist to join our HR team in Fairfield. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Excel (including VLOOKUP) and Paycom, with a focus on HRIS system management, payroll processing, and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
HRIS Management: Manage HRIS functions, including payroll, reporting, recruitment, onboarding, and benefits administration.
Training & Safety Initiatives: Lead the development and training of HR and safety programs.
Process Improvement: Collaborate with managers to streamline HR processes and enhance efficiency.
Policy Development: Contribute to creating and implementing company policies, procedures, and the employee handbook.
Safety Committee: Handle Workers' Compensation, Auto claims, driver safety, and compliance programs as a member of the Safety Committee.
Employee Engagement: Enhance employee satisfaction through programs, training, and incentive programs.
Required Skills & Qualifications
HRIS & Payroll: Experience with HRIS administration and payroll processing is a must.
Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of multiple HR software systems (Paycom, Paylocity, ADP, or similar).
Advanced Excel Skills: Proficiency in Excel and use of VLOOKUP is essential.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail with the ability to work on complex projects independently.
Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Employment Laws: Knowledge of workplace laws and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Interpersonal Skills: Positive, approachable, and able to foster good relationships with employees and managers.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
4+ years of experience in Human Resources.
Minimum 2 years of HRIS and 2 years of payroll processing experience.
Experience with recruiting and onboarding through an HRIS.
Experience creating or contributing to company policies, procedures, and handbooks.
Familiarity with employment laws and project management from initiation to completion.
