Position Overview: Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to manage payroll operations for their diverse workforce. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing and a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Process payroll for over 700 hourly and salaried employees.
Review and audit timecards to ensure accuracy.
Handle direct deposit requests and manage employee payroll records.
Collect and maintain employee data for payroll purposes.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
Research and resolve payroll-related issues.
Respond to employee inquiries regarding paychecks and deductions.
Prepare and audit payroll reports.
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing.
Previous experience with PeopleSoft payroll software is preferred.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to handle confidential information.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
