We are in the search for a Payroll Specialist to join our team, this is a fully remote opportunity. You will play a critical role in processing payroll, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately and efficiently process multi-state payroll
• Review and approve payroll data such as timekeeping records, bonuses, commissions, and other compensation adjustments
• Comply with all federal, state, and local payroll tax laws, regulations, and requirements
• Keep detailed and accurate payroll records in the system
• Recommend process improvements to enhance payroll operations and accuracy
• Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance of payroll procedures and records
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as HR, Finance, and Legal to resolve payroll issues and provide strategic guidance
• Prepare and present payroll reports, audit documentation and analysis to management and stakeholders as required
• Manage and optimize payroll systems for efficiency
• Provide backup support for other payroll positions as needed.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist
• Proficiency in auditing and reconciling payroll
• Familiarity with UKG Pro and other payroll software
• Experience with bi-Monthly Payroll and Full Cycle Payroll
• Knowledge of Multi-state Payroll and managing Payroll for Over 500 Employees
• Ability to execute all Payroll Functions and Process Payroll efficiently
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations as they pertain to payroll processes.
