This entry-level role involves supporting manufacturing operations by preparing pallets, operating production equipment, and maintaining a safe and efficient workflow. You will handle materials, perform basic equipment checks, and follow detailed work instructions to ensure products meet quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Replace wooden pallets with plastic pallets and aerate loads prior to printing according to the production schedule.
- Operate production machinery safely and efficiently while monitoring performance during operation.
- Perform occasional preventative maintenance on equipment to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues through early detection, including listening for irregular sounds and observing equipment behavior.
- Read and interpret basic measurement tools to verify dimensions and ensure products meet specifications.
- Follow written work instructions and standard operating procedures accurately and consistently.
- Lift and carry materials weighing 10 to 25 pounds frequently and safely handle pallets weighing 40 to 52 pounds.
- Regularly stand for extended periods and use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Frequently reach with hands and arms to access materials and equipment in the work area.
- Occasionally walk, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required by production tasks.
- Use basic power tools and equipment to support mechanical assembly and production activities.
- Conduct visual inspection of materials and products to identify defects or irregularities.
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area.
