Responsibilities
Work Environment
The work environment is a very clean, well-lit, temperature-controlled medical packaging facility with a production and cleanroom-style setting. You will work on a packaging line at the end of a machine, either sitting or standing, alongside 1–2 other operators performing similar tasks on different machines. The facility operates multiple 12-hour shifts: A Shift runs from 6:00 am to 6:30 pm (alternating weeks of Monday/Tuesday/Friday/Saturday and Sunday/Wednesday/Thursday), B Shift runs from 6:00 am to 6:30 pm with the opposite weekly pattern, and C Shift runs from 6:00 pm to 6:30 am on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday. Orientation sessions typically occur on Mondays from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, with flexibility for earlier starts when needed. The team on night shift currently includes about 12 people, creating a small, collaborative group environment.
The dress code requires long pants and the use of hair nets in the production area. Machine operators are not required to wear steel-toed shoes. Everyone receives a t-shirt and uniforms provided by the company. For hygiene and product safety, no nail polish or fake nails are allowed, although makeup and jewelry are permitted within safety guidelines. Only water is allowed at workstations, and headphones are not permitted in the production area to maintain safety and awareness. You will regularly bend, move, and lift boxes from your station onto pallets, sometimes to shoulder or eye height. Candidates must visit an office to complete a basic reading and ruler test prior to starting. A video of the work environment is available to help candidates understand the setting before they begin.
