We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to support a busy family law practice in Louisiana. This opportunity is ideal for a legal specialist who can balance client communication, document preparation, and deadline management in a high-volume setting. The role offers the chance to work closely with attorneys on complex domestic matters while contributing to a respected and team-focused law firm environment.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and revise legal documents such as pleadings, motions, letters, and case-related filings for family law matters.
• Serve as a point of contact for clients by providing updates, gathering requested information, and helping coordinate next steps in active cases.
• Track important dates, manage attorney schedules, and help ensure court deadlines and procedural requirements are met on time.
• Submit pleadings and supporting materials to applicable state and local courts in accordance with filing rules.
• Support hearing and trial readiness by organizing exhibits, witness materials, case records, and attorney binders.
• Assemble discovery materials, maintain accurate case documentation, and keep files organized throughout each stage of litigation.
• Arrange case events including hearings, mediations, depositions, and other legal proceedings with internal and external participants.
• Provide ongoing litigation support across the full lifecycle of family law cases, from initial filing through resolution.• At least 4 years of paralegal experience with a strong concentration in family law.
• Familiarity with Louisiana family law practices and court filing procedures is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to draft legal documents, motions, and case correspondence with accuracy.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters in a deadline-driven environment.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for working with attorneys, clients, and court personnel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and legal case management systems.
• Experience supporting discovery, litigation workflows, and trial preparation activities.
