Job Overview
Acme Wire Products is seeking an experienced Resistance Welding Department Manager to lead and develop our Resistance Welding Department. This position is responsible for overseeing daily department operations, ensuring product quality, supporting production schedules, maintaining a safe work environment, and leading the continued development of department personnel.
The Resistance Welding Department Manager will supervise a team of production personnel while maintaining a strong hands-on understanding of resistance welding processes, equipment setup, tooling, and production requirements. This individual will be responsible for establishing and maintaining department standards, training personnel, improving workflow efficiency, troubleshooting manufacturing challenges, and ensuring departmental objectives are consistently achieved.

Founded in 1962 and owned and operated by the Echeverria family for the past 20 years, AWP specializes in the fabrication and welding of stainless steel and bright basic wire products ranging from 1/16" to 1/2" diameter.
We primarily serve the foodservice and outdoor cooking industries, with many of our products used in barbeque grills and smokers. We also serve the healthcare, laboratory, and commercial storage industries.

Key Responsibilities:
Resistance Welding Operations
• Set up, operate, and oversee resistance welding equipment to ensure products are manufactured in accordance with customer specifications and quality requirements.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize welding parameters, machine settings, fixtures, and tooling to ensure consistent weld quality and production efficiency.
• Interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, specifications, and work instructions to support manufacturing operations.
• Troubleshoot welding, tooling, equipment, and production issues to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
• Monitor weld quality and implement corrective actions when necessary to ensure compliance with customer and company standards.
• Coordinate preventative maintenance activities and ensure equipment is properly maintained and operating efficiently.
• Assist with production activities as necessary to support departmental objectives and customer delivery requirements.
Department Leadership:
• Lead, supervise, and develop a team of 10-15 welding personnel.
• Establish clear expectations, promote accountability, and maintain a professional, team-oriented work environment.
