Reporting to the Director of Accounting, the Accounting Manager will oversee the A/R and A/P functions with a team of 5 direct reports. The ability to multi-task while handling conflicting priorities will be a key skill of the ideal candidate. Assessing risk, driving results and offering suggestions for ways to improve processes will be crucial. This is a hybrid position allowing 1 day a week remote!

Responsibilities:

• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash postings departments
• Facilitate problem-solving using lean principles for root cause analysis in receivables and payables
• Simplify processes related to freight invoice and monthly accrual
• Handle collection issues, verify customer refunds, and resolve account discrepancies and short payments effectively
• Responsible for minimizing overdue customer accounts and enhancing cash cycles in accounts receivable
• Assess the short pay accrual, analyze its impact, and make relevant recommendations
• Recruit, educate, and supervise the accounting personnel
• Assist with annual financial statement audit requests
• Play a key role in ensuring accurate and punctual completion of monthly financial reports
• Conduct financial analysis, data flow analysis and project management for the organization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferred
• 5+ years strong accounting experience
• Experience leading a team preferred, experience leading a remote team a big plus!
• Familiarity with SAP, Oracle or Epicor a big plus
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• An analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities
