Robert Half is working with a well-respected manufacturing company who is looking to bring on an experienced Accounting Manager. This individual will be instrumental in overseeing the accounting functions ensuring timely close and accurate financials, along with coordinating a successful annual external audit. Responsibilities:
• Be an integral part of the accounting leadership for this manufacturing company.
• Supervise and manage the monthly, quarter-end, and year-end close process, ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met.
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Develop and monitor business performance metrics, highlighting the interpretation of financial information that aids in corporate decisions.
• Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for annual audits.
• Engage in ongoing cost reduction analyses in all areas of the company.
• Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Work closely with the management team to understand and manage product profitability, and to create budgets and forecasts.
• Guide financial decisions by applying company policies and procedures to current economic landscape.
• Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role or in the field of accounting
• Proven proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Manufacturing and public accounting experience a plus
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
• High level of confidentiality and integrity
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential is preferred
