We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Manager in New York. The role is in the financial industry and requires a high level of detail and organization. The successful candidate will be tasked with coordinating and supervising general ledger staff and managing month-end closes. Additionally, the role requires overseeing monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts and ensuring accuracy of general ledger accounts.

Responsibilities:
• Supervise and coordinate the general ledger staff to ensure timely and accurate month-end closes
• Oversee the preparation of financial statements every month
• Handle the monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts
• Ensure the accuracy of general ledger accounts
• Assist with coordinating consolidations and other financial concerns
• Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable
• Oversee billing functions and auditing activities
• Utilize Accounting Software Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning tools for efficient accounting functions
• Conduct month-end close activities and prepare monthly financial reports
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliation.• Applicant must hold a minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role or related field
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is required
• Knowledge of BlackLine software is a must
• Familiarity with Concur software is necessary
• An understanding of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is preferred
• Must be able to handle all Accounting Functions efficiently
• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is expected
• Proficiency in Auditing is required
• Experience in handling Billing Functions is necessary
• Must be capable of executing Month-end Close Activities
• Ability to make Month-end Journal Entries is crucial
• Experience in Performing Month-end tasks is required
• Proficiency in performing Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation is essential
• Experience in executing Monthly Financial Close is necessary
• Must be capable of performing Monthly Financial Reporting
• Experience in preparing Monthly Financial Reports is required.
