We are in search of an Accounting Manager to join our team in the non-profit sector, based in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the completion of financial statements for multiple healthcare facilities, providing daily financial support, preparing for annual audits, and contributing to budgeting and cost reporting processes.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the completion of financial statements for multiple healthcare facilities, which includes gathering information, recording journal entries, generating the financial statements, reviewing financial statements, and reconciling accounts monthly.
• Provide daily support on financial and accounting matters to Operations, Accounting Department, Facility Executive Directors, and Business Office Staff. This includes accurate interpretation of financial information and timely responses to requests for assistance.
• Assist with the import and review of Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) journal entries, census, and payer reviews.
• Conduct monthly reviews of bank reconciliations.
• Prepare for the annual audit, including reconciling accounts and preparing audit work papers.
• Research and provide budget numbers for several accounts for appropriate facilities.
• Handle Medicare & Medicaid Cost Reports for appropriate skilled nursing facilities, which includes reconciling accounts and preparing work papers and cost reports annually.
• Leverage Accounting Software Systems, BlackLine, Concur, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and ADP - Financial Services for efficient management of accounting functions.
• Oversee month-end close activities and ensure all billing functions are executed accurately and on time.
• Conduct regular audits and maintain accurate records of financial statements.• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the non-profit industry
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, BlackLine, Concur, and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is mandatory
• Demonstrated knowledge of Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required
• Experience in Auditing, Billing Functions, and Month-end Close Activities is crucial
• Ability to prepare and analyze Financial Statements is essential
• Must possess excellent communication and leadership skills
• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is preferred
• Must have a solid understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically
• Must have high ethical standards and integrity in professional conduct.
