Chris Preble from Robert Half is working with another Utica client of his that has a newly created position. This organization has a very good reputation in the marketplace and want to hire an Accounting Manager. Reporting into the Controller, this role is centered on managing the daily operations of the accounting department in the manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities include:

• Help oversee the preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

• Assist in the creation of budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring their performance, and providing variance analysis to support financial decision-making.

• Cost accounting duties

• Help implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial information.

• Help manage the month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.

• Proven ability to work in a manufacturing industry environment

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and in a team

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
