Job Summary:
The Accounting Managers role involves working closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee and manage the accounting activities of the company. This includes assisting in the preparation of financial reports, analyzing variances, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations and standards.
The Accounting Manager is responsible for controlling and coordinating all accounting functions for the organization:
- The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, prepaids and accruals.
- Working closely with the CFO, the Accounting Manager will help develop and implement financial policies and procedures, as well as identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
- Overall, the Accounting Manager's role is crucial in supporting the CFO in managing the financial health of the company and providing valuable financial insights to drive business growth and success.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintenance of all accounting records to ensure integrity in financial reporting
- Prepare financial reports in compliance with internal and external accounting guidelines and policies
- Maximize technology for accounting processes, data analysis and report presentation
- Analyze financial data and compile variance explanations
- Manage capital expenditures and depreciation
- Analyze expenditures and research opportunities for productivity and cost efficiencies
- Assist in compilation of budget information from various departments
- Provide support to external auditors during annual audit
- Other duties as assigned.
Prerequisites / License & Certification Requirements:
- BS degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2-5 years experience working as an Accounting Manager
- Proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software applications such as Quickbooks Online
- Experience with financial reporting requirements
