IMC Metals America/ Ames Copper Group is seeking a motivated and driven Accounting Manager to aid and contribute to the overall success and growth of our organization. The Accounting Manager will report to Plant Controller and will be part of a great team that together will continue to help build and grow our business.
Responsibilities and Duties:
· Oversee all aspects of the organization's financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting.
· Responsible for timely completion of month-end closings, including preparation of financial statements and external reporting partnering with Plant Controller.
· Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, laws, and accounting standards.
· Manage raw material, work in progress and finished goods inventory costing, including reporting of variances and for profitability control.
· Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits.
· Prepare tax returns and regulatory filings.
· Manage treasury functions including processing check runs.
· Collaborate with HR to prepare the annual census, reports, and audits.
· Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
· Evaluate and implement financial systems to streamline processes and improve data accuracy.
· Prepare invoices for customers to print and mail.
· Upload payroll checks for 3 divisions and approve their payroll.
· Other duties may be assigned as needed.

· Able to prioritize/manage time, meet deadlines, and problem solve discrepancies.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent work experience.
· Proficient in Excel, Word, Accounting Software.
Proven 3-5 years of accounting experience, with in-depth knowledge in the following:
· Intermediate understanding of cost accounting and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
· Microsoft Office Suite
· Microsoft Excel, with advanced knowledge in data arrays, pivot tables, and lookup formulas
· Accounting and bookkeeping software experience.
· Strong familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite Preferred)
· Inventory management experience is required.
