The ideal candidate will have at least five years of increased responsibility in a similar role, including a couple of years of experience as Accounting/Human Resources manager of medium-sized teams (5-10 people). The candidate will be responsible for all accounting functions, including AR, AP, GL, FA, Cash, Payroll & Tax. He/She will lead and direct the routine functions of the human resources (HR) department and enforcing company policies and practices, leading an overall team of 8 resources, collaborating with the Company Controller, and reporting directly to the Company CFO.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Directs and coordinates daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, fixed assets, cash & banks, payroll and tax.
- Supervises accounting department monthly and yearly close process, working closely with the Company Controller and Financial Analyst.
- Conducts all financial matters to meet highest accounting standards.
- Sufficiently manages banking funds and credit lines with banks.
- Periodically reviews credit policy and monitors bad debt ratio.
- Oversees financial audits, tax filings with all federal, state, and local corporate, and other applicable compliance efforts.
- Continuously trains, develops, and guides the accounting team.
- Maintains accounting controls by defining accounting policies and procedures and ensuring adherence to the chart of account, cost accounting and divisional accounting.
- Guides other departments by researching and interpreting accounting policy and applying observations and recommendations to operational issues.
- Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
- As HR Manager - responsibilities include screening and hiring employees; planning, assigning, and directing work in cooperation with Operations manager; monitoring yearly performance and defining plans; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Need to Succeed:
- Experience with an ERP system is a must; knowledge of Microsoft Navision or Business Central is a plus
- Minimum of 2 years in a Accounting/Human Resources Managerial role supervising direct reports.
- Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in Finance or Accounting from four-year college or university; or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, CPA a plus
- Knowledge of GAAP, and accounting rules, regulations, policies, and internal controls.
- Ability to understand, map, and improve accounting processes, leveraging Excel or ERP System automation.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel
- Strong attention to detail; excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to multitask, think strategically, problem solve and collaborate
- Highly motivated, results focused, and acts with a high sense of urgency
