Job Description

This role plays a critical part in the distribution network by ensuring all incoming and outgoing products are handled safely, accurately, and efficiently. The Shipping and Receiving Associate verifies and records shipments, maintains inventory accuracy, prepares orders for shipment, and supports continuous improvement in warehouse processes.

This is a long term opportunity

1st shift Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm

Pay Rate: $21-$23/hour to start

Must be comfortable with consistent heavy lifting

Responsibilities

• Safely, accurately, and efficiently load and unload products from trucks and other delivery vehicles.
• Verify products received from suppliers against packing lists to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Store products in the appropriate category shelves and designated storage locations.
• Determine the best method of packing products to ensure adequate protection during transit.
• Perform daily cycle counts and investigate root causes of inventory discrepancies or related issues.
• Organize and prioritize work orders to meet shipping deadlines and customer requirements.

Essential Skills

• Experience in shipping and receiving operations, including loading, unloading, and preparing shipments.
• Proficiency in inventory control practices and daily cycle counts.
• Ability to use an ERP system, specifically Epicor-Prelude, to maintain inventory accuracy and data integrity.
• Ability to use a Transportation Management System (TMS) to select appropriate shipping modes and carriers.
• Experience with order selection, picking, packing, and packaging in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Strong data entry skills and attention to detail for accurate recordkeeping.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Martinsburg, WV.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
