Job Title: Shipping and Receiving ClerkJob DescriptionThe Shipping and Receiving Clerk accurately receives, records, and prepares products for distribution within a fast-paced e-fulfillment warehouse environment. This role involves verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders, performing detailed counts, labeling and scanning items, and moving products safely using pallet jacks or forklifts. The clerk ensures inventory data is accurate in the system and supports efficient, timely shipment of products to designated sites.
Responsibilities- Match incoming products against purchase orders to verify accuracy of items received.
- Physically inspect, count, and label all received products to ensure correct quantities and identification.
- Designate received items to the appropriate site or area based on operational needs.
- Scan each item into the correct container, such as pallets or bins, to prepare for shipment in a timely manner.
- Use pallet jacks and forklifts to move products safely throughout the warehouse.
- Enter inventory data, part numbers, and shipment details into the computer system with a high degree of accuracy.
- Perform inventory control tasks, including cycle counts and stock checks, to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Assist with picking, packing, and packaging orders as needed to support shipping operations.
- Load and unload products from trucks or staging areas using appropriate equipment.
- Operate RF scanners to track and update inventory and shipment information.
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and equipment use.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and support general labor tasks within the warehouse.
- Participate in and apply training on receiving processes, equipment operation, and warehouse procedures.
Essential Skills- At least 2 years of shipping and/or receiving experience, with a focus on receiving responsibilities.
- Intermediate computer skills, including the ability to enter and update inventory and part number data accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate counting ability for verifying shipments and inventory.
- Experience with shipping and receiving processes, including picking, packing, and packaging.
- Ability to operate a pallet jack to move products safely within the warehouse.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted on a regular basis.
- Experience with inventory control activities such as cycle counts and stock verification.
- Familiarity with RF scanners for tracking inventory and shipment information.
- Capability to perform general labor tasks in a warehouse environment.
- Willingness to work Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with overtime as needed.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Forklift experience or interest in receiving forklift training provided by the employer.
- Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and speed.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced e-fulfillment warehouse environment.
- Comfort working with shipping, receiving, loading, and inventory-related tasks across different areas of the facility.
- Willingness to participate in structured training that includes both classroom-style presentations and hands-on practice.

The schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with overtime occasionally required and communicated in advance. The environment is active and hands-on, requiring regular lifting and movement of products. Associates wear steel-toed shoes and jeans as part of the dress code to ensure safety and practicality on the warehouse floor.
