What We’re Looking For:

• Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement.
• Prior experience working as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting preferred.
• Strong understanding of IEP process, compliance, and special education law.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, families, and team members.
• Confidence managing a caseload (anticipated self-contained) and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Organized, flexible, and passionate about supporting diverse learners.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in compliance with federal and state guidelines.
• Provide targeted instruction, accommodations, and modifications based on student needs.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment for students with varying exceptionalities.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and administration.
• Participate in team meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student success and growth.
