Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by taking on an onsite role as a Special Education Teacher with expertise in ESOL near Naperville, IL. This full-time contract position provides the opportunity to work in a school setting, supporting learners with diverse educational needs in an inclusive classroom environment.
What we’re seeking:
- Valid Special Education Teacher Certification in Illinois (LBS1 required)
- Experience as a Special Education Teacher and/or ESOL Teacher
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Familiarity with developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, parents, and support staff
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, nurturing, and engaging learning environment
Key responsibilities:
- Design and deliver individualized instruction tailored to students’ unique learning profiles
- Implement evidence-based ESOL and special education strategies
- Track and assess student progress, documenting improvements and adjustments as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to developing educational goals for each student
- Work closely with general education teachers to support a collaborative approach to learning
- Create a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages students to thrive socially and academically
