Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a school-based team in the Oneonta, Louisiana area. About the Position
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate SLP to provide evaluation, therapy, consultation, and communication support to students in a school-based setting.
Job Duties
- Evaluate students to identify speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement treatment plans aligned with IEP goals
- Provide direct speech and language therapy
- Complete assessments and progress documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers
- Provide evidence-based interventions
- Monitor student progress and modify treatment strategies
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Follow state, district, and federal requirements
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid Louisiana Speech-Language Pathologist license through the Louisiana Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Appropriate Louisiana Department of Education credential/authorization for school-based practice, as required by the assignment
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence or eligibility for the applicable supervised Clinical Fellowship pathway
- Completion of required supervised clinical experience
- Knowledge of IDEA and school-based service delivery
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Successful completion of required background screening and district onboarding requirements
