Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a middle school special education teacher focused on behavioral and emotional supports. Work closely with a dedicated group of 6th-8th grade students in a BEST (Behavioral and Emotional Supported Teaching) classroom, a mostly self-contained setting designed to foster student growth and confidence.

Your day runs Monday through Friday, from 7:50 a.m. to 3:10 p.m., offering a consistent routine. With a manageable caseload of 9-10 students, you'll have the chance to make a meaningful difference by providing both academic instruction and behavioral guidance in a nurturing, structured environment.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current and valid state certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Endorsement or experience working with students with behavioral and emotional needs preferred
• Background in developing and implementing IEPs for a middle school population
• Ability to foster a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment
• Collaborative approach to working with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction in alignment with students’ IEPs
• Implement behavioral strategies to support social, emotional, and academic growth
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and predictable classroom environment
• Document student progress, communicate effectively with parents and team members
• Adapt strategies to meet diverse student profiles
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to intervention planning
