Bookkeeper - Construction Accounting - Bookkeeping Specialist

United Staffing Solutions has the pleasure of representing an established and growing construction company in their search for an experienced Bookkeeper. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced office environment and takes pride in keeping financial records accurate and organized. This long term position starts on a temporary basis and has the possibility of becoming permanent if it is the right fit.

Location: Maspeth, Queens, NY (Accessible via L train and multiple bus lines, metered and non-metered street parking are also available)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
Pay: $25-33/hour depending on experience
Position Type: Temporary-to-Permanent

Responsibilities for the Bookkeeper:

• Recording and maintaining accurate financial transactions
• Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Processing invoices, payments, and expense reports
• Assisting with bank and credit card reconciliations
• Maintaining organized financial records and documentation
• Assisting with the preparation of financial reports and supporting documentation
• Communicating with clients and vendors via phone and email

Qualifications for the Bookkeeper:

• At least 2 years of bookkeeping experience (in a construction office or related environment is a plus, not a must)
• Proficiency with QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, and Outlook
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus, not a must
