The Medical Assistant will provide essential support in private practice settings, assisting healthcare professionals with patient intake, clinical procedures, and administrative duties. Reporting to the Clinic Manager, this role ensures smooth clinic operations and high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient intake and collect vital signs accurately
• Support clinical staff with examinations and procedures
• Educate patients on basic health care and post-visit instructions
• Manage administrative tasks including scheduling and record keeping
• Maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in medical assisting
• Associate degree in Medical Assisting or related field
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential
• Proficiency in patient care and vital signs measurement
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems- Athena is preferred
• Knowledge of phlebotomy, medical terminology, and patient communication
• Strong time management and teamwork skills
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus
