To ensure our new team members are fully prepared for a successful launch, we are hiring now so they can complete comprehensive training before the new location opens. All new hires, including those who will ultimately work at our Clear Lake clinic, will complete their onboarding and training at our main Bellfort clinic. JOB SUMMARY:

At Lymphedema Therapy Specialists, Inc. (LTS), the Medical Assistant (MA) plays an essential and compassionate role in fulfilling our mission to serve our patients and one another with excellence, compassion, and integrity. This position combines direct patient interaction with critical clinical support to ensure the smooth and effective delivery of care to individuals affected by lymphedema.

The Medical Assistant is responsible for supporting our clinical team by preparing patients for visits, assisting with procedures, documenting vital health information, and maintaining a clean and organized care environment. This role requires attention to detail, a calm and caring demeanor, and a commitment to patient-centered, faith-guided service. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare and maintain exam rooms by disinfecting surfaces, replacing linens, and ensuring all equipment is clean, organized, and ready for use.
• Support therapists and clinical staff in providing patient care, including wound care, bandaging, range of motion (ROM) exercises, and compression garment fittings under therapist supervision.
• Perform clinical assessments and testing such as limb measurements, vital signs, and wound cultures, as directed by licensed physicians and clinic management.
• Uphold infection control protocols by maintaining a high standard of cleanliness across all therapy and patient care areas.
• Assist therapists in educating patients and caregivers on essential self-care techniques, including skin care, infection prevention, wound management, and use of the patient handbook.
