Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing a warm and professional welcome
• Answer and manage a multi-line phone system; direct calls appropriately and take detailed messages
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments with a focus on maximizing provider production and maintaining an efficient recall system
• Greet and check in patients, verify insurance benefits, and collect co-pays with necessary documentation
• Dismiss patients with follow-up appointments and ensure they understand their treatment plan
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk and reception area
• Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure seamless patient flow throughout the day
• Promote a positive and friendly atmosphere for patients, staff, and visitors

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a dental office is required
• Technical or College Degree in Dental Assisting is required
• Proficient in dental practice management software and general computer systems
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to smile often and maintain a warm, welcoming demeanor
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English
• Exceptional customer service mindset with the ability to remain calm and professional in a busy, fast-paced environment
• The ability to type and generate official letters and documents
