Successfully completes Entry Level Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training Program. Rides-with and assists driver trainer in executing deliveries. Performs all required safety checks (pre/post trip). Inspects tractor/truck and trailer for safety standards and necessary repairs. Reports all safety issues and/or repairs required. Follows all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines. Inspects trailer for properly loaded and secured freight. Checks and completes all required paperwork. Moves tractor to the loading dock and attach preloaded trailer. Drives to and delivers customer orders. Unloads products from the trailer. Performs damage control checks. Collects money where required. Loads customer returns. Unloads damaged goods and customer returns. Unloads all equipment, materials and removes trash. Completes daily record of hours of service. Performs general housekeeping duties.
