A manufacturing company in the Galleria area is adding a Senior Accountant to their team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for performing general accounting functions, producing financial reports, analyzing data, and maintaining accounting records.
Responsibilities Include:
•Prepares and analyzes financial statements including flux analysis and consolidation.
•Prepares monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations in an accurate and timely manner.
•Maintains control of Fixed Assets in Process.
•Reviews AP invoices to ensure proper accounting coding is used.
•Prepares journal entries including accruals, amortization, reclassifications and adjustments.
•Assists in preparing the annual budget.
•Assists in physical inventory counts.
•Facilitates audit and information requests.
•Review and research variances within the financial data and make correcting entries if necessary.
•Assists in streamlining and modifying current month-end close to shorten the closing period.
Ideal Candidate will have:
•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA or CMA a plus.
•5+ years of experience in GL Accounting.
•Hands-on experience with accounting software preference SAP-JDE or similar.
•Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
•Manufacturing and Intercompany experience is a plus.
•Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
Compensation is up to 90K plus bonus.

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations.
• Demonstrated experience with General Ledger management and Journal Entries.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Month End Close procedures.
• Familiarity with SAP software.
• Knowledge of Inventory cycles and Fixed Asset Accounting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) will be an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
