We are offering an opportunity for a Sr. Accountant to join our team located in CHANTILLY, Virginia. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial reports, handling payroll, and conducting audits. The successful candidate will also be proficient in accounting software like Costpoint - Deltek and have the ability to manage various tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
• Usage of Costpoint 8.0 and Deltek TE Time and Expense software for various accounting tasks
• Set up project and project financial reports
• Manage AP vouchers and oversee cash disbursements
• Handle payroll pre-processing tasks
• Prepare monthly financials with all related supporting schedules and account reconciliations
• Record month-end journal entries
• Generate ad hoc reports for management and operations
• Conduct audits from government agencies including Annual Financial Review
• Handle bank reports and online banking system
• Manage monthly revenue recognition including invoicing and unbilled schedules
• Prepare Annual Incurred Cost Submission.

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Experience with Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Knowledge of Bank Reconciliations

• Familiarity with General Ledger operations

• Ability to record Journal Entries accurately

• Expertise in Microsoft Excel

• Experience in performing Month End Close processes

• Proficiency in using NetSuite for financial operations

• Familiarity with Oracle financial software suite

• Prior experience with SAP financial software suite

• Knowledge of Costpoint - Deltek system for accounting tasks

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred

• Proven experience as a Sr. Accountant or relevant role

• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
