We are seeking a Staff Accountant for our manufacturing team based in North Las Vegas, Nevada, 89081, United States. In this role, you will be part of a team that ensures the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. You will be expected to handle various accounting duties, including maintaining general ledger accounts, performing month-end close activities, and reconciling bank accounts.
Responsibilities:
• Process and record transactions in the general ledger system
• Carry out month-end close activities, including the preparation of journal entries
• Perform bank reconciliation on a monthly basis to ensure financial accuracy
• Ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in all accounting practices
• Handle balance sheet account reconciliations to confirm the accuracy of data
• Use Microsoft Excel to create pivot tables, lookups, and various formulas for financial analysis
• Utilize various accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for financial management
• Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) to maintain accurate records
• Prepare month-end reports to aid in financial decision-making
• Respond to and resolve customer inquiries related to their accounts.• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the role of Staff Accountant or similar
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management
• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations
• Understanding of General Ledger management
• Proficient in making Journal Entries
• Experience with Month End Close procedures
• Knowledge of software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to conduct Month-end Close Activities
• Proficiency in making Month-end Journal Entries and Month-end Reports
• Experience in performing Month-end tasks
• Familiarity with General Ledger System
• Experience in conducting Monthly Bank Reconciliation
• Must be able to work collaboratively in a team
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is required
• Professional certification in Accounting such as CPA is preferred
