We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant to join our team in Falls Church, Virginia. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including the preparation of weekly cash forecasts, processing bill payments, maintaining customer credit records, and assisting with special projects. This role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting department.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare weekly cash forecasts and suggest vendor bills for consideration
• Process approved bill payments via various methods including ACH, wire, and credit card processing
• Manage vendor bill organization within the accounts payable shared drive and enter bills into the system for timely review and approval
• Review and record vendor bills using correct general ledger coding, considering business unit activities, budget, and special projects
• Communicate with vendors regarding any questions related to their bills and payments
• Monitor major vendor invoices due for payment and handle routine payments
• Post daily transactions based on card user descriptions and trace missing receipts from the card user to ensure timely recording
• Push all credit card transactions to QuickBooks at least once per month and list all suspense transactions to provide to the management team
• Review all expense reports that auto sync with QuickBooks Online, prior to processing payments
• Assist with special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as needed
• Maintain and update financial documentation and records in a timely and accurate manner.

• Must possess skills in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) is required

• Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations is necessary

• Proficiency in managing General Ledger is expected

• Must be comfortable with creating and maintaining Journal Entries

• Ability to handle Month End Close tasks effectively

• Experience with NetSuite software is desirable

• Proficiency in using Oracle for accounting tasks is a plus

• Must have experience with QuickBooks accounting software

• Familiarity with SAP for financial management is a requirement.
