Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Needed

Men's mental health shelter offering amazing long temporary contract to Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners!

Experienced NPs who are willing to transition to Psychiatric NP roles are welcome! (Thoughtful orientation period with frequent check ins are provided)

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday 9am-5:00pm (3 extended days are acceptable too!)

PAY RATE: $85 - $90 / H DOE

DUTIES:

• Responsible for providing psychiatric services (including evaluations and ongoing med management) to the clients residing in the agency. Good amount of psychiatric assessments needed.
• Will conduct psychiatric assessments to help clients gain housing and will work creatively and thoughtfully with clinical and program staff to help connect clients to needed treatment in the community and to temporarily provide treatment in house to clients who are more ambivalent about treatment.

REQUIREMENTS:

• NYS Certified psychiatric nurse practitioner.
• Have prior NP experience working with a MICA population.
• CPR training certification or willingness to take training class in CPR.
