We are inviting applications for the role of Sr. Accountant, based in The Woodlands, Texas, United States. As a Sr. Accountant, you will have the opportunity to engage with various aspects of accounting and finance within our organization. This role will allow you to utilize and enhance your skills in areas such as month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and fund accounting.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and review the financial closing of portfolio companies on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Oversee the reconciliation process for intercompany accounts.
• Review and analyze monthly financial and management reports.
• Conduct accounting research to ensure compliance with US generally accepted accounting principles.
• Assist with the treasury function for the portfolio companies, including reviewing monthly funding requests and preparing cash forecasts.
• Manage bank account funding requirements and prepare required cash compliance schedules.
• Handle lender correspondence and activities such as monthly funding certificates, diligence requests, draw requests, borrowing base certificates, and quarterly covenant reporting for banks.
• Implement and maintain reporting procedures to comply with internal control requirements.
• Coordinate the annual budgeting process for portfolio companies.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the locations served, and train and educate Portfolio Accounting Personnel on policies/procedures and potential areas of concern.• The applicant should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role or related field.
• Proficiency in 'Month End Close' procedures is essential.
• The applicant should have a strong understanding and experience in 'Budgeting - Forecasting'.
• Knowledge and experience in 'Fund Accounting' is required.
• The applicant should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is desirable.
• The applicant should have strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, is expected.
• The applicant should have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously is required.
• The applicant should have a strong understanding of financial regulations and legislation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
