Robert Half is in search for a Project Accountant. The Project Accountant will be the primary responsible person for accounting and financial reporting. They oversee all financial records (including A/R, A/P, and payroll), month end close and reconciliation, and audit and tax preparation. Working as part of a small finance team, this individual will be able to work independently and in team environments, including guiding or reviewing the work of other staff. This individual will follow existing procedures as well as develop new accounting procedures to meet the needs of a growing company. This role will report directly to the CFO, while maintaining a close working relationship with the Director of Finance and the Director of Compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a similar field
- 4+ years (may include internship experience) working experience in accounting, under the supervision of a CPA
- Advanced accounting and ERP software skills for reporting and analysis, including experience in Quickbooks Enterprise
- Advanced Excel skills
- Excellent visual and written communication skills
- Curious, systems-oriented thinker with a bias for continuous improvement
- Working experience with financial reporting, including variance analysis and monthly, quarterly, and annual report preparation
- Ability to pivot and operate under changing priorities and timelines as part of a nimble startup finance team
- Relevant vertical experience in one or more of the following areas: manufacturing, heavy industry, real estate or infrastructure development, civil construction, energy
- 2+ years project accounting experience
