We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Human Resources (HR) Assistant in Providence, Rhode Island, 02905, United States. As an HR Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the HR department, ensuring efficient operation of the office, and contributing to the accomplishment of Human Resources practices and objectives.
Responsibilities:
• Undertake basic HR administrative tasks such as filing and setting up personal files.
• Efficiently process and separate i-90 documents as per guidelines.
• Provide administrative support to the HR department in daily tasks.
• Demonstrate proactiveness and initiative in handling HR-related tasks.
• Utilize customer service skills to resolve HR-related inquiries and issues.
• Use Ceridian software for HR-related tasks and processes.
• Conduct background checks as part of the employee onboarding process.
• Assist with onboarding procedures for new employees.
• Maintain accurate records in the administrative office.
• Show willingness and openness to ask questions to clarify HR-related processes and tasks.• Proficiency in using Ceridian HR software is essential
• Prior experience conducting background checks is required
• Proven customer service skills are necessary
• Experience with onboarding new employees is a must
• Strong administrative office skills, including organizing, scheduling, and coordinating tasks
• Familiarity with filing systems and record keeping is necessary
