We are seeking a Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team in the education sector located in Palos Hills, Illinois. As an HR Assistant, you will be responsible for handling a variety of personnel related administrative tasks and providing clerical support to the HR department and employees regarding human resources related activities, policies, processes, and procedures. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Provide support in all HR-related procedures and manage HR administrative tasks.
• Assist in maintaining accurate employee records and process necessary paperwork.
• Handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Use e-Filing and Data Entry skills to organize, maintain and update employee data.
• Manage interactions with students, staff, and employers professionally, both in person and over the phone.
• Contribute to the HR Administration by providing friendly, reliable service.
• Ensure the efficient and smooth day-to-day operation of our office.
• Play a vital role in ensuring adherence to our company's policies.
• Utilize proficiency with basic MS Office applications in daily tasks.• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Human Resources (HR) role or similar
• Proficiency in e-Filing systems for efficient document management
• Strong skills in data entry with attention to accuracy and detail
• Experience in Human Resources (HR) Administration, including managing employee records, coordinating trainings, and assisting in recruitment processes
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with staff at all levels
• Strong organization and time management skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficiency in the use of HR software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is preferred
• Certification in Human Resources, such as PHR, SHRM-CP, is a plus
• Must have the legal right to work in the specified location.
