T&M USA, LLC is seeking a Paralegal for a full-time position as “Project Assistant” with our Investigations and Consulting practice.
T&M's Investigation and Consulting Practice provides a complete portfolio of security, intelligence, and investigative solutions to a variety of clients, including educational institutions, businesses, corporations, government agencies, non-profits, law firms, professional sports teams and leagues, and other organizations throughout the United States.
This practice is largely comprised of former prosecutors and law enforcement officers with expertise in security consulting, risk management, and complicated and sensitive investigations, including sexual misconduct, domestic violence, harassment, and child abuse.
The role involves diverse tasks and will support several investigators and consultants. The role will require at least 4 days in T&M’s offices at 230 Park Avenue.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Taking detailed notes at meetings and interviews
· Assisting investigators and consultants in preparing draft interview summaries, agreements, client correspondence, and reports
· Maintaining and organizing case/project files
· Performing research, analyzing documents, and cataloging exhibits
· Filing documents in court and administrative proceedings
· Conducting desktop due diligence and monitoring investigations
· Performing other duties as directed by T&M management.
Minimum Requirements:
· 4-year college degree
· At least 1 year of legal assistant experience preferred.
· Must be able to work well independently or in a team environment.
· Must have excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and handle internal and external contacts professionally.
· Must be detail-oriented with good analytical skills and ability to efficiently handle multiple tasks and projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
· Must have excellent organizational skills.
· Must be proficient at internet research.
· Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
· Must have strong interpersonal skills as well as exemplary follow-up skills and ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
All prospective employees will be subjected to a background investigation and drug screening process.
The annual salary range for this position is 50k to 60k commensurate with education and experience.
