We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Paralegal in Lawrence, Massachusetts. The primary function of this role involves researching CMS and state agencies for regulations, providing legal assistance on contracts, and drafting regulatory filings with various agencies. The candidate will be expected to work efficiently with multiple topics simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough research on CMS and state agencies to understand relevant regulations.
• Provide daily legal assistance by reviewing contracts based on set criteria.
• Enter and manage contracts in a new system ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Draft regulatory filings for various agencies, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
• Manage multiple topics at once, prioritizing tasks as necessary for effective workflow.
• Utilize Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS), and Case Management Software for various tasks.
• Perform briefing and calendar management activities as required.
• Handle claim administration and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
• Develop detailed knowledge of Federal Regulation and Agency Policies.
• Work with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and adhere to Agency Rules.• Proficient in Aderant software for legal practice management.
• Skilled in Adobe Acrobat for document management.
• Familiarity with Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS) for property records.
• Experience in Case Management Software for tracking and reporting.
• Knowledge of CompuLaw for legal calendaring and risk management.
• Ability to handle billing functions effectively.
• Proficient in preparing legal briefing documents.
• Skilled in calendar management for scheduling and appointments.
• Experience in claim administration for legal cases.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team.
• Knowledge of Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) policies and procedures.
• Understanding of federal regulations applicable to legal proceedings.
• Familiarity with agency policies and rules relevant to the role.
• Ability to work in a team and independently when required.
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Law degree or equivalent legal qualification.
• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
