Summary:
The role involves offering comprehensive support for attorneys in all aspects of litigation, from case inception through trial and appeal. It presents a great opportunity for a diligent detail oriented who thrives in a high-intensity setting and has a passion for the legal field.
Essential Functions:
• Support attorneys through every phase of the litigation process including, drafting of pleadings, motions and other legal documents.
• Perform legal research and analyses through various online resources and databases. • Maintain and organize case files, including electronic documents, and physical evidence.
• Organize discovery tasks which include drafting and responding to discovery requests, organizing document production, and preparing for depositions.
• Aid with trial preparation, including preparing witnesses, putting together exhibits, and managing courtroom logistics. • Fulfill administrative tasks, such as arranging meetings, keeping track of calendars, and liaising with clients and opposing counsel.
• Keep up to date with relevant legal regulations, laws, and court rules that affect litigation practice. • Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
•Minimum qualification of a Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certification from an approved institution.
• At least 2 years’ experience as a paralegal in a detail oriented law office setting. • Extensive proficiency in legal research and writing.
• Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Capacity to manage multiple priorities and adhere to strict deadlines in a bustling environment. • Proficiency with legal technology and software, including document management systems and litigation support tools.
