We are offering an opportunity to join our team in Houston, Texas as a Sr. Accountant. This role is central in our organization, with responsibilities that include preparing and reviewing financial statements, conducting trial balance reconciliations, and performing ad hoc analysis. The Sr. Accountant will be a key player in the monthly close process and will serve as a liaison for external audits.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct trial balance reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies that arise.

• Prepare and post journal entries on a regular basis.

• Assist in the monthly close process to ensure all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.

• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring their accuracy and completeness.

• Serve as a liaison with external auditors, providing necessary information and addressing any concerns.

• Prepare sales tax returns in compliance with current regulations.

• Prepare regular and special reports for a multi-company environment.

• Perform ad hoc analysis and undertake projects as requested to support decision-making processes.

• Account reconciliation: ensure all financial records are accurate and reconcile any discrepancies.

• Should possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

• Must hold a minimum of 3 years of experience in the accounting field

• Proficiency in account reconciliation is required

• Experience with financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

• CPA certification is highly desirable
