We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk located in Mount Olive, New Jersey. As an integral member of our team, the Accounts Payable Clerk will handle various tasks related to accounts payable and customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process customer invoices in a timely manner
• Efficiently manage customer credit applications
• Maintain and update customer credit records accurately
• Utilize QuickBooks to manage and track financial data
• Resolve customer inquiries related to their accounts
• Monitor customer accounts for irregularities and take appropriate action
• Carry out account reconciliation tasks to ensure accuracy
• Conduct regular check runs for payable accounts
• Enter relevant data accurately and efficiently
• Support other team members with ad-hoc tasks when needed• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required for the role.
• Applicant must possess strong skills in Accounts Payable (AP).
• Experience in executing Check Runs is necessary.
• Strong Data Entry skills are expected for this position.
• Proficiency in using QuickBooks is a crucial requirement for the role.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are expected.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail are paramount for this role.
• Must possess the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis.
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
• Experience in an accounting role, preferably in the Accounts Payable function is desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel, is expected.
• Must possess a strong work ethic - committed to doing what it takes to get the job done.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of general bookkeeping procedures and general accounting principles.
• A degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field is preferred.
