We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Paralegal in Aurora, Illinois. This role is primarily focused on the Service industry, and the successful candidate will be expected to handle a variety of tasks related to litigation and administrative duties. The main responsibilities of this role include managing and coordinating events, handling client inquiries, and processing various legal documents.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct extensive litigation work, including handling depositions and dealing with medical malpractice cases.
• Manage administrative tasks such as calendaring and event coordination.
• Handle expense reporting and collection activities as part of the role.
• Be comfortable with occasionally facing clients and managing their inquiries.
• Process and manage client records accurately and efficiently.
• Take appropriate action on monitoring customer accounts.
• Work closely with the team to resolve any customer inquiries promptly.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
• Utilize skills in Calendar Management, Event Coordination, Medical Malpractice, and Litigation to perform tasks effectively.
• Be responsible for other duties as assigned within the scope of the Paralegal role.• Must hold a degree in paralegal studies or a related field
• Experience in the Service industry is preferred
• Proficiency in calendar management and event coordination
• Demonstrated knowledge of medical malpractice regulations and laws
• Prior experience working with litigation is highly valuable
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
• Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail
• Proficiency in legal research and documentation
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
• Must be able to work collaboratively in a team setting
• Knowledge of legal terminology and principles
• Proficiency in using legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
