We are on the lookout for a methodical and meticulous Paralegal to be an integral part of a law office based in Midlothian, Virginia, 23113, United States. In this role, you will be expected to manage multiple responsibilities, including processing legal documents, coordinating with various law firms, and managing case files. This role will require you to operate in a fast-paced environment within the legal industry.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage the drafting of legal pleadings utilizing provided templates.
• Handle administrative tasks, including front desk and reception work, to ensure smooth office operations.
• Assist the office manager with various tasks as needed, thus contributing to the overall efficiency of the team.
• Answer and direct calls professionally, providing excellent customer service.
• Manage scheduling and calendaring duties, ensuring all appointments and deadlines are accurately recorded and met.
• Manage case files meticulously, ensuring all relevant information is organized and easily accessible.
• Prepare and organize documents for court appearances, including preparing binders for easy reference.
• Take on the role of case management, ensuring all cases are tracked and updated regularly.
• Perform printing and filing duties, ensuring all documents are properly stored and easily retrievable.
• Assist in other office duties as required, contributing to the overall functionality and productivity of the office.
• Must possess skills in Collections, Bankruptcy, Civil Litigation, OR Personal Injury Law
• Must have at least 2 year of legal administrative experience with a law firm.
• Ability to Draft Pleadings and manage Pleadings effectively
• Strong knowledge of legal terminologies, regulations, and court system
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong research and report-generating skills
• Detail-oriented and able to handle confidential information professionally
• Bachelor's degree in law or related field preferred
• Paralegal certification will be considered an advantage
• Experience in a law firm or in-house legal department is beneficial.
